There is a fine reason for not watching “The English Patient” again, and that’s because every time I see that fucking movie, I sob uncontrollably. She asks him to paint her with the saffron in the thimble. I want all this marked on my body. Where the real countries are. Not boundaries drawn on maps [...]

Man. If I was married to Brad Pitt, and he dumped me for the most gorgeous woman on the earth, I probably wouldn’t be surprised, but I’d still feel like the absolute shits. Although. I always thought Jennifer Aniston was a competent actress; I watched “Rock Star” a couple of years back and was pretty [...]

Saw the fugliest dog in the whole world. [...]

Peter O’Toole, an actor I have known only as being old, only as how my grandfathers looked like to me in the years before they died, is nominated for a Golden Globe this year for “Venus”.

Maybe it’s because it’s almost Christmas and I’m far away from home. Maybe it’s that scene in the trailer where [...]

So nag zoo kami! Ang una kong nakita yung LION!!! (tapos namiss ko yung pusa ko) tapos akala ko fake sya kasi super-still lang sya sa taas nung kanyang territory but no! Gumalaw sya! Look:

So today we went to the Round Tower, seven and a half stories of pure incline, to get to the top where we were assured we would get a bird’s eye view of the city.
By pure incline, I mean, no stairs. Imagine yourself as an ant climbing up a twister fry.

When we got to the [...]
